Auto Resize: Sitebuilder has an automatic resize facility which using the php gd library function will resize your images to the popular internet sizes.

Manually Resize: All good web designers colour correct, sharpen then resize their images in a paint program like Photoshop then insert them with the "Don't Resize" option selected. Designers use this method to get far clearer images because the GD library is not used which tends to lessen the quality slightly when it automatically resizes images in the method above.

Free Resizing Software: Windows XP has an excellent plugin which can be found on the Microsoft website for resizing directly from Windows Explorer or My Computer. Vista has this feature already included. If our image files don't need any work in Photoshop we use a free resize and sharpening program called "Thumbnail Refinery". A Google search will locate a number ofother  image resizing programs you may wish to try.
